Prime Elements to Attend European Commodities Exchange (ECE) 2026 in Rotterdam

COMPANY NEWS

Prime Elements GmbH will be represented at the 66th European Commodities Exchange (ECE), taking place on 5-6 November 2026 at Rotterdam Ahoy. Arman Vatandoost, Trader at Prime Elements, will attend on behalf of the company, meeting counterparties active across grain, oilseed and biofuel feedstock markets.

ECE brings together around 4,000 professionals and roughly 100 exhibitors from across the European grain and animal feed sector, with this year’s programme looking at the developments, innovations and trends shaping the sector’s outlook. The exchange runs across Rotterdam Ahoy’s Hall 1 – the venue’s largest, at 10,000 sqm – followed by a gala dinner at the historic Laurenskerk.

Market context

Biofuel feedstocks. Rapeseed oil, used cooking oil (UCO) and animal fats remain central to competition among biodiesel, HVO and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producers. Europe’s substantial reliance on imported feedstocks keeps supply availability a central topic in commercial discussions across the sector.

EU harvest. A dry summer has weakened the outlook for maize and soybeans: in September the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) again lowered its yield forecasts, which remain below the five-year average. Conditions vary by crop – sunflower prospects have improved slightly, while dry soils are hampering winter rapeseed establishment.

Ukrainian exports. Restrictions at Black Sea ports and uncertainty over vessel availability continue to disrupt shipments, with some maize exports shifting to Danube ports, particularly Izmail. For buyers, this increases the importance of confirmed delivery schedules and alternative routing.

Prime Elements at ECE 2026

Prime Elements is active across each of these markets and has material and logistics options to discuss with counterparties navigating current conditions – from certified biofuel feedstock sourcing to alternative routing for grain shipments affected by Black Sea disruption. The exchange floor is an opportunity to discuss specific requirements directly.

“ECE brings together a large part of the European grain and feed trade in one place over two days. We’re looking forward to discussing how current conditions on the harvest and export side are shaping sourcing decisions, and where Prime Elements can help.”
